Now you’ve got a brand new shiny Android powered phone, now what ?
This is top five checklist when i got my android !
1. Android Device Manager
Installing an Android Device Manager will help you find your missing / hiding device.
2. Setup a lockscreen code
Use it and never avoid it ! , this will help the thieve from being looked more privacy things on your device
3. Dont ROOT your phone
Rooting your device will let the thieves easier to flash any custom rom, remember that when android phone is flashed.. its gone forever!
4. Turn Location Reporting and Location History ON!
Turning this features on will let you know the behaviour of the phone movement, it will be your backup plan after the phone is missing. The movement will show last position before your phone is turned off.
5. Put some README.txt file on your external SDCard
I ussually put README.txt on my internal and external SDCard, so if someone steal or find it. He/She can know who owns the device.
